This was our first stab at the Red Snapper during the 2014 nine day season. Onboard with me was Troy Million, my oldest son Ben Miller (20), and his friends Conner Masters, Pat Reynolds, Isaac Vlahos, and Seth Barzelay. We went south toward FH-7 and MP175. Troy is my flight instructor and this was his first trip out with me. The pressure of the derby season was evident as the fish did not bite with vigor, but we managed to catch our limit and had a good time out on the water. We also got to see dolphins, turtles, and even a Tiger Shark. Total trip encompassed 153.5 miles, 13 hours, and 82.2 gallons of fuel.
