Some folks from the past called up out of the blue to see about going fishing. It must have been over 9 years cause they fished with me before on my AquaSport and I got my proline in 1996. Anyway, the weather was right (alot better than last weekend) so why not. The snapper were biting well and we had no trouble getting our limit of 24 fish and we only had to measure a few of them. Also Sonny caught one heck of a Scamp that was around 15 pounds. I was thinking the State record was around 16 pounds, but their website shows 24 pounds. It was a nice fish anyway. He also caught a keeper red grouper and Paul caught one that was a half inch shy (19.5"). Sharks were a little bit of trouble as seen by one of the Snapper's missing tail that Paul caught. Ben and I dove MP175 and picked up an AJ. We also dove the Gwen Tide on the way back. Total trip was 136 miles and about 12.5 hours.
