USM FH-7 Recorder Retrieval & Grouper Spearfishing with Sniper & Smiley on Dec 31, 2019

This was a trip to retrieve a USM Data Quality Recorder from FH-7 and then on to go spearfishing grouper at the MP243 Cutoff Oil Rigs and at Platforms MP244c & MP264a. We were successful with the largest grouper weighing 40.5 lbs. As a bonus we had a nice size Lionfish and a Slipper Lobster. An un-welcomed bonus was Portuguese Man-o-War Jelly Fish. It was a great day that encompassed 166 miles, 92 gallons of fuel, and 12.5 hours.
