This was a trip with Allen Peregoy of Biloxi. He had his Sister-in-Law Jan come in town from Loredo, Texas with her son Steve. The forecast was windy and I suggested we not go, but Allen said they may not get another chance so we went anyway. The last time Allen went fishing with me was in June of 2003 with Jay Schmidt. He also went with me in May of 2003, also with Jay Schmidt. The forecast was true and we had trouble standing up to fish, but we made the best of it. We landed 2 nice King Mackerel and a stunning Mahi Mahi. We also caught a bunch of Red Snapper but could not keep any due to the ignorant Government Season Closures. We were about 14 miles short of getting to the desired Amberjack grounds. It turned out to be a great day in the Gulf afterall that encompassed 112 miles, 69 gallons of fuel, and 12 hours.
