This was a trip on the Sea Sharp, a 31' Prowler Catamaran. I was invited by Keith Elder & Josh Kittrell. Also onboard was Chris Guice, Chris Smith, Greg Bartosch, and Rich. We went East toward MP256 where we could see Petronius about 10 miles to the South-Southeast. The weather was exceptionally calm and the water clear and blue. Flying Fish were taking off everywhere as we passed thru the waters. We came across a piece of Floatsom somewhat early on that produced a baker's dozen of Mahi Mahi and several small Triple Tail. We landed some nice Red Snapper and some Amberjack as well as a Barracuda and a Rainbow Runner. I got to make two dives, one on VK-340 and another on MP256. I poked an Amberjack and a Scamp Grouper on VK-340 but struck out on MP256 as I passed up a Black Jack and some Almacos hoping for that big AJ to cruise by which never happened. Checked out the beautiful Tropicals though in the clear blue water. It was a grand day out on the Gulf of Mexico which was more like the Lake of Mexico on this trip.
