This was a last minute trip out with Brandon Bosarge on the "UnReel", a 2018 42' Yellowfin with Quad Mercury 400R Engines. Our Target was Grouper but they were not cooperating and we only landed one very nice Scamp. The Amberjack and Sharks were thick. Large Amberjack were getting to the baits quickly which is probably why we didn't land many Grouper. We must have thrown back over 1,000 pounds of Amberjack. The Season opens on August 1, only 6 days away. We also boated some nice quality Red Snapper. It was an awesome trip and I hope I get another invite soon. I fished with Brandon in 2014 on his previous 42 Yellowfin when we smacked the Tuna.
