This was a Spearfishing Trip on PrimoFish with a crew from the DeepWater Mafia. Onboard was Tommy "Ocean Sniper" Phelps, Marcus "Hit-Man" McDavid, Casey "Bandit" Craven, and Chad "The Mechanic" Patti. Our mission was to shoot some big Donkeys since they finally started letting us. It's kinda like telling a kid, no you can't do that, over and over and then finally saying, Okay, Go Ahead, but only 1 each. We first hit a nice BlueWater Weedline but found mostly small baitfish. Chad did get some video of a baby Triple Tail trying to eat a Frog Fish. That was pretty cool. We then went to MP289B and Bandit started it off with a 77 pound Donkey. Sniper was right behind him with a 107 pounder! Marcus and I had to wait for them and receiving seconds yeilded us nothing but a 35 pounder. We then hit MP289C where I poked a nice 12 pound Scamp and one of the others got a nice Horse-Eye Jack. From there we went to check the Salt Dome and the Mechanic saw a tree floating that yielded a large amount of Amberines, Ocean Triggers, Mahi Mahi, and Wahoo. After several failed attempts by the Mechanic to shoot one, we put in a Purple Marauder and hooked up a little 12 pounder within minutes. After that we went to MP275 where Hit-Man got a nice 34 pound Cobia. It was a grand day that encompassed 182 miles, 122 gallons of fuel, and 13 hours.
