This was a trip to begin deployment of the USM Recorders for the 2017 year. On board was Jason Jones and Paul Miller. We started in FH-2 on the St. Elmo. We were pleasantly surprised by the above average visibility and took advantage to feed the local fish and then on to make some subsequent dives on the Reef Balls and the Captain Kevin, the latter of which was the best. We also took some video of the Red Snapper chummed up to the surface which shows how there is little shortage of these fish. Our federal fisheries management is truly broken. See the ERFA website for more information. We then proceeded on to deploy on the Ole Faithful Wreck in FH-1, the Reef Balls in FH-6, the Frank Taylor Wreck in FH-12, and the Chevron Boat in FH-3.
