This was the first of two trips to retrieve all the data recorders for the year. They recorded dissolved oxygen, temperature, and salinity every 15 minutes on several offshore reefs. MGFB worked cooperatively on this project by Dr. Scott Milroy with the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) and the Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL). The project is identifying problems with Oxygen and Salinity changes in Mississippi Gulf Waters. Of course we had to catch and release a few red snapper while out on the water. We also visited an unknown Barge that is between FH-1 and FH-6 (outside the permitted sites). This gave the opportunity to visit a reef that gets less pressure than the public sites.
