This was a charter by Omar Vasquez, JP Monteverde, and Joseph Cawthon. My son Luke (18) worked the deck. We headed southeast to checkout an Alabama wreck (OS-70V) for the first time and then went on to VK340. We found some nice mangroves on the wreck and made some friends who were also fishing it. At VK-340 I went down and put about a dozen lionfish in the zookeeper so Luke had to follow suit and double my numbers. We also found some nice red snapper on a bottom spot near VK340. We hit a wreck on the way back north and Luke poked a nice slob red snapper weighing in at 24 pounds. Then we came across someone's FAD that had broken loose and Luke went in to shoot 2 Triple Tail with a single trigger pull. We then enjoyed a beautiful sunset. It was a grand day that encompassed 144 miles, 96 gallons of fuel, and 13 hours.
