This was a spearfishing charter by Jeff Munson and Rodney Brewer of the Dallas Texas area. They brought along Chris Harry of Tyler Texas and Michael Sanders of Vidor Texas. My son Luke (18) worked the Deck. It started out a little stormy as we hit some Shrimp Boats getting some chum, our fill of Bonito, and a great trade on Shrimp. We then proceeded South hoping to get out to the Shelf but it was a tad choppy so we stopped in FH-7 and checked out the Jumbo Barge as well as nearby rigs VK-166, VK-175, and VK-186. We were still able to get our Amberjack. In addition, we picked up a Cobia, a King Mackeral, and a 39 pound Barracuda that Luke poked freediving after it ate half of a Red Snapper on the client's line. It was a great day of diving that encompassed 133 miles, 96 gallons of fuel, and 13.5 hours.
