This was a reef monitoring trip for MGFB. We started in FH-13 but the water conditions were poor like they were on the January 12
trip so we continued on the FH-7 in hopes they would improve. While the water looked decent on top, the visibility quickly faded below 80 feet.
Since the top of the Jumbo Barge is around 112 feet, the observations were fruitless on this trip. We did catch some Red Snapper and
Redfish along the journey as seen below. We then visited nearby MP166 and also MP175 to the Southeast. While no lionfish were
sighted on the Jumbo Barge itself, there were several on MP166 and MP175. This trip encompassed 118 nautical miles, 69.1 gallons of fuel, and 12.5 hours.
