This was a fishing/diving trip with my Brother David from Beverly Hills, Florida. Also on board was 2 of his 5 daughters, Elisha(17) & Sarah(14) as well as 2 of my 3 sons, Paul(19) & Luke(17). Weather was cold, evidenced by observing the ice in some of our buckets on the dock. The winds could have been calmer, but we managed to get out to FH-7 where Luke and I attempted to repair FAD2 that we had deployed on the Jumbo Barge last month and noticed a leak. However the structure was below the murk layer and we somehow failed to locate the 400 foot barge. We were obviously close as indicated by the healthy population of Amberjack and Red Snapper. Since the water conditions were poor, we went further south to MP265 where we were driven off by a supply boat. We moved over west to MP242 where we made a dive. Afterward we continued fishing and boated some nice Mahi Mahi. While we didn't set any fishing records this day, we had a good time that encompassed 170 miles, 14 hours, and 103 gallons of fuel.
