This was a charter by Joseph Cawthon to Petronius & Neptune Spar. There were 3 others scheduled to go but they backed out at the last minute, so my boys hopped on along with Charles Duffie (CJ), an experienced Free Diver friend of Paul's. We did a little fishing, but mostly it turned into Diving. Our first stop at a Shrimp Boat was profitable as we traded some Beer for a bag of shrimp and and bag of chum. We were heading to Petronius to look for Blue Water and then working west toward Neptune Spar (the Beer Can Rig), but we stopped at MP256A with Petronius in sight. CJ spotted a 35 pound class Barracuda and came back to the boat to gear up his Pole Spear for a World Record attempt. Check the Video for a detailed showing of his Skills. We then went on to Petronius where the water was a good color but had quite a bit of milky stuff probably discharged from the Rig. We boated some decent fish and went on to Neptune playing with some Dolphins along the way. We boated some nice Mangroves, a Scamp, some Rainbows, and more. From there we hit VK789 before turning home. Joseph bagged a nice Cobia, some Red Snapper, and some AJs. Total trip encompassed 219 miles, 15 hours, and 123.7 gallons of fuel.
