Aerial trip to Port Eades with Johnny Templet - July 27, 2014© Photos Posted by Mark Miller © Hi-Res Source
This was a trip to Port Eades, Louisiana at the South Pass of the Mississippi River. A friend of ours, William Landier, has built a runway there and we were interested to see what it looks like for possible fishing excursions in the future. Along the way I took some photos of the Islands and Oil Platforms as well. We also sighted the Stink Water trail from Omega Protein that seems to have trouble dispersing into the evironment. I have reported previously on this practice. The plane was a 2012 Cirrus SR-22, owned by Brandon Bosarge. It was a definite step up from the Cesnna 172P that I have been training in for my license. The run out there was about 92 nautical miles one way and it took us only about an hour and a half to complete our venture. It took me more than that amount of time to process these photos to share. I hope you enjoy.
