This was another MGFB Reef Monitoring Trip to FH-13 that coincided with the 2 week long 1Fall Red Snapper Season. On board with me was my wife Pam and one of my boys - Paul. We decided to check out some of the March 2011 Culvert Material to assess it's progress since our studies have shown that most reefs seem to peak at about 2-3 years of age. The water conditions were very favorable with calm seas and great visibility. Paul shot his first Red Snappers while Free-Diving and a Cobia also. There were also some large Jelly Fish documented as well. We also tried to find the BRT but poor visibility hampered our efforts. We made our last stop on the Tiger Shark Shrimp Boat and were greeted by more Cobia. I capped my day with some excellent sunset photos. Total Trip encompassed 61.7 miles, 10 hours, and 26.5 gallons of fuel.
