This was a trip by Don Luedke of Gautier. He brought his son Evan, his Son-in-Law Steve McAlexander, and Chandler (12). My boys Paul (18) and Luke (16) worked the Deck. The forecast was for calm conditions (5-10 knots) but instead we were greeted with 15-20 knot winds. We passed up the close reefs that were targeted hard the previous weekend and found Red Snapper, Sharks, and Kings abundant. We came across the High Life Blackfin at CA43 and watched them reel up what looked like a Yellowfin Tuna. This is the same Rig Luke caught his Yellowfin last year. We swung by VK203 on the way back which had 2 boats on it so we hit the West Pipe there, which is also scheduled for removal, and took some pics and video. It showed that even a single pipe attracts quite a few fish. It was a great day that encompassed 107nm, 11 hours, and 71.3 gallons of fuel.
