This was a reef monitoring trip to FH-1 on August 5, 2012. We visited Barge-A, the Ole Faithful Shrimp Boat, and the Casino Magic Barge. Visibility was poor at around 5-10 feet on the reefs. Following the MGFB surveys in FH-1, we visited Rig CA-22 which is located about 5 miles further south. Luke wanted to take his friend MB on his first open water scuba dive and this made a much better setting for that feat. Visibility was a little better at around 40-60 feet in the mid-water depths. The trip encompassed 62.6 nautical miles, 40.9 gallons of fuel, and 8.2 hours.
