This was a trip by Don Luedke of Gautier, MS. He brought his son Evan, his Son-in-Law Steve McAlexander, Chandler (11), and Noel (17), all from Huntsville, Alabama. My son Paul worked the Deck. Weather postponed this opening red snapper day of fishing until June 2. We caught 2 large Sharks - one Black Tip, one Tiger. We limited out within an hour of fishing on 8-16 pound fish. We then tried to target some King Mackerel, but had trouble catching the required hard tails. We hooked one King who got arial for us, but we lost him. we then hunted the Sargassum for Mahi to no avail. Regardless, it was a fun filled opening day of our very short red snapper season which encompassed 102 nautical miles, 10 hours, and 63.9 gallons of fuel.
