This was a trip by the McNinch Family of Vancouver, WA. Members were Phil, Meagan, Silas (8), Grace (5), and Sara (4). Also on the Venture was my son Luke (14), step-son Dalton McQueen (18), and their friend Alec Newton (18). We also picked up Scott Fleming who I dropped off 5 days earlier for some primitive Camping. Checkout his 2010 trip here. We initially pulled up on the north side, but the water was pretty brown and we had a good north breeze so we ended up moving around to the South Side and setup near the Archturus Wreck. Despite the unusual massive amounts of Biting Flies, we managed to enjoy the water, eating some Burgers & Hot Dogs, Dolphin Watching, and even ventured out a little ways to catch a few fish before some of the crew got sea sick. We stopped again on the East Point coming in, but noticed the Flies were there too, so we called it a day. Total trip encompassed 46.5 miles, 6.2 hours, and 29.2 gallons of fuel.
