Charles Venus Camps on Horn Island - March 11-15, 2012

This was a trip by Charles Venus to Horn Island. We dropped him off on March 11. My Brother David and his Daughter Elisha accompanied us as they were down visiting my Mother. My Son Luke (14) tagged along to try and surf a couple waves. That first night was a doozie as a Strong Line of Thunderstorms riddled through the area. I thought about Charles as we enjoyed a meal in our cozy home. I was somewhat expecting a phone call to come get him the next morning, but I never heard a word until his fourth day as planned. Charles wanted to confirm that he had the days counted correctly and was more concerned about my efforts to make the rendevous in the fog. He seemed to have a really good trip especially since he had never camped in such a primitive setting before.
