Finally the Winds had Calmed down after a couple months of constant blowing. So off we went to do some reef monitoring for MGFB in FH-7. Unfortunately, we now had to deal with Fog and poor visibility both above and below the water surface.
We made the best of it and boated quite a few Red Snapper. All pretty nice size, averaging in the 8 to 16 pound class. I also got to try out my new Christmas Present, a Nikon Cool Pix AW100, waterproof camera.
The fog made it difficult to give it a fair appraisal, but I think it will work out. I needed something for topside pics and video as it was getting annoying to put my Canon T1i in and out of the housing after every water entry.
We had an enjoyable trip that encompassed 110 nautical miles, 62.9 gallons of fuel, and 14 hours.
