This was a trip by Don Luedke of Gautier, MS. He brought his son Evan, his Son-in-Law Steve McAlexander, and 10 year old Chandler, all from Huntsville, Alabama. My boys Paul (16) and Luke (14) worked the Deck. The day started out skirting Water Spouts, but soon the Sun came out and we went to work bagging our limit of Red Snapper. We also caught a nice Flounder, 2 Scamp Grouper, several Sharks, and a nice Gag Grouper which we released. We fished toward FH-7 and MP-175. Me and my boys made dives on MP-175. The water was milky on top, but cleared up between 30 and 100 feet with visibility approaching 100 feet in that window. I had an awesome encounter with a Manta Ray which I caught on Video. I captured some stills off the Video and put them at the end of the pictures below. Earlier, we had 2 small Mantas come swim directy under the boat (see pic 5875 for their exit). We also saw 2 Sea Turtles and some Dolphins put on a jumping show for us too (I wasn't quick enough on the Camera for those). Luke did some of his normal Rig Jumping and showed Chandler how to rope swing off the Rig. We then caught and released a few more fish for fun before heading north. The seas were calm and it was a fun day in the Sun, encompassing 122 miles, 70.0 gallons of fuel, and 13.7 hours.
