This was a trip to survey some of MGFB's reefs in FH-13. The crew consisted of my sons Ben (16) and Paul (15) along with their freinds Issac Vlahos (15) and Alec Newton (16). We started at the Linda Susan and was greeted with some descent visibility once below 20 feet. Surprisingly the visibility held out to the bottom, something that I haven't seen in several years. We then headed to the nearby MOB992 Rig. After that we headed toward the Gwen Tide, but a vessel was on it so we turned back to the Kay Eckstein Tug Boat. This was the first good video of this reef since Katrina had wallowed her down into the bottom and it is rare to get visibilty down there. After that reef we hit the Great Wicomico Pogey Boat where Paul hooked a nice Warsaw Grouper that got entangled in one of the FADs (Check the Video), then the 070308A Pyramids, and then the Southern Star Shrimp Boat. This was also the first deccent videos of Pyramids since visibility usually doesn't allow it. We caught some nice Red Snapper and Grouper and actually brought 5 Grouper to the house for a change. This is my first fishing trip to FH-13 since the BP Oil Spill closed the fishing waters on May 31. The seas were calm and everyone had a great time. Total trip encompassed 65.8 miles, 12.5 hours, and 39.6 gallons of fuel.
