This was a trip to FH-13 to survey some of the reefs. The crew consisted of my boys, Ben (16), Paul (15), and Luke (13), as well as my visiting twin brother David and his daughter Elisha (13). His daughters Jennifer and Sarah went shopping with their Grandmother. Our first stop was at the Linda Susan Tug Boat and proved to be the best dive of the day. We also visited the nearby Rig, the Borries Culverts, and the 4-Boys Shrimp Boat. Visibility was poor on the last two but there was a good population of red snapper on them. I was able to excercise my photography skills with my Canon T1i as shown below. The Video quite impressively shows the rebound of high red snapper and grouper populations due to the Fishing Closures by the BP Oil Spill. Total Trip encompassed 62.1 miles, 36.5 Gallons of fuel, and 9 hours. David paid a visit 4 years ago with us to this same reef shortly after her deployment. Click Here to View those Trip Pictures.
