The crew consisted of Myself along with Keith McQueen, my 2 older boys, Ben (15), and Paul (14), and their 2 friends Alec Newton and Danny Collier. The goal was to conduct some scuba monitoring of some of the newer reefs deployed since Katrina for Mississippi Gulf Fishing Banks. We started with the St. Elmo Shrimp Boat which was deployed October 11, 2008 in FH-2. Visibility was somewhat poor. There was a small window of maybe 20 feet between 30 and 40 feet, but dropped to less than 5 just above the 57 foot bottom and was near zero at the bottom. Some observations were completed and showed the reef to be doing well considering it's young age. The weather was turning rough and since water conditions were not ideal we cut our trip short. Of course we sampled the fishing throughout the site as the pictures show below. Total Trip encompassed 57.6 miles, 10.2 hours and 37.6 gallons of fuel.
