Got a call from John Lamb the day before saying he had 3 Guys wanting to go fishing. I told him sure, and he said they would call but they never did. I hadn't really thought hard about fishing cause the weather would not cooperate on my schedule, but now my brain was turning seeing the winds slow down. So I decided to try and make a reef monitoring dive for MGFB with my Boys (Ben, Paul, and Luke) and their friend Alec Newton. I figured we would get a little fishing in on the side. I was glad I did as the pictures show, the reefs are producing, although it was a "Catch and Release" day. We fished FH-2 on Broken culverts, Reef Balls, Capt Kevin Shrimp Boat, and then moved to FH-13 hitting the 4-Boys Shrimp Boat and some Pyramids. We were hoping to hook that Goliath Grouper on the 4-Boys, but no luck. A Dive was made on the 070603B Pyramid Group and was fruitless due to poor visibility. However, the reef was holding some red snapper. Total Trip encompassed 55.9 miles, 8 hours, and 27.8 gallons of fuel.
