This was a charter by Gary Smith of Ellisville, Mississippi (Just South of Laurel) along with 4 of his children, Chance (18), Chase (18), Brittany (11), and Skyler (9). They drove down in the wee hours of morning and we departed at about 6AM in the unusually cool weather. The forecast was for relatively calm weather, winds from the North in the AM and turning around South in the PM, getting brisk late. The winds built much quicker than that and turned West and then South soon after daylight. Anyway, despite the rough 3-5 conditions, the fish bite was pretty strong. Although the take home was slim due to unfair regulations, the action was hot and enjoyable. We caught quite a varity of fish that included Red Snapper, Lane Snapper, Shark, Trigger Fish, Grouper, Bluefish, Redfish, and Flounder. We fished FH-2 and FH-13 and included the 4-Boys, Reef Balls, Fire Boat, Linda Susan, St. John, Tuan Phong and more. We also sighted a small Sea Turtle. Total Trip encompassed 61.5 Miles, 9.5 hours, and 36.9 Gallons of Fuel.
