It was opening day of red snapper season for 2008. We basically only get to fish for them only 2 months this year (NOT FAIR!!). Anyway, surprisingly no charters so I took my 2 older boys Ben(14) and Paul(13) along with 2 of their friends, Alec Newton and Hunter Gollot. We did not have too much trouble getting our limit of snapper. The Groupers were always barely short and the Ling kept breaking off. Alec Jigged a nice 27 pound King which capped a really nice day on the Gulf. I have more of this trip on Video that I need to capture and post, so check back later.
