This was a charter by Norman Gannon and his Grandson Britt from Brandon, Mississippi. The weather was not looking the best, but we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were greeted with Choppy and Rainy conditions as Tropical Storm Edouard began forming. At times the winds were blowing over 25 knots and seas were around 4 feet. The rain came as well and cut our trip short. We fished around FH-2 and FH-13, but all the good holes I had been doing good on this year were not producing. All the red snapper we caught were too short although I believe we lost a few keepers. This was the second trip with my new Humminbird 997si unit. The Side Imaging worked well. The GPS functions work nicely, but the User Interface is not too freindly. More on that later. Anyway, we eventually got tired of the weather and lack of fish and headed to the dock with only 4 Trigger Fish and a single Lane Snapper. Total trip encompassed 67 miles, 10 hours, and 39.4 gallons of Fuel.
