It was the opening day of Red Snapper Season 2007. The crew consisted of David Larsen and his sons Jared and Justin. Decking were my sons Paul (11) and Luke (9). The forecast was for nice weather with 2 foot seas, but instead we were greeted with choppy 3-5 foot seas and 18 knot winds. This kept us in close, fishing mostly in FH-13, but we managed to bring home 11 keeper snapper and a decent King Mackerel. Many small snapper, gag grouper, white trout, and 2 nice red fish were also landed. Considering the conditions it was a good trip that encompassed 80 miles and 10.5 hours.
