Subcontracted by Bosarge Diving, Mark Walker and myself met the NOAA vessel "Henry B Bigelow" about 75 miles out. I first performed an inspection of the wheel because of noise problems they were experiencing. After review of the video I took, I was asked to remove the line cutter assembly. We then took a couple noise control engineers, Nathan Jones and Ronald Dempsey, from Noise Control Engineering aboard my boat to take noise measurements of the vessel as she made passes at different speeds and with different equipment running. After the trip was complete, we had a couple hours so we ventured out a tad further and picked up a half dozen blackfin tuna. We lost a half dozen more and possibly some yellowfin. Total trip encompassed over 200 miles and 16 hours.
