The crew consisted of Roy Simmons and Teresa McCoy of Brady, Texas and Jose Perez of San Antonio, Texas. The forecast was calling for winds 5 knots or less and seas 1-3 feet, but it was more like 16-20 knots with seas at 3-5 feet. The weather didn't keep us down though, and we fished mostly around FH-13 and some shrimp boats about 5 miles further southeast. The bite was better than it had been on recent trips and we landed 10 red snappers, 2 of which were "Sows", the largest weighing in at 19 pounds. We hooked 2 kings, one on a flat line and one while trolling to a shrimp boat. We also caught one gag grouper, but he was short. We had lots of bonito action at one of 3 shrimp boats we fished and lost a cobia at boatside. We finished the day by towing in a crippled boat from the mouth of the West Pascagoula River to Mary Walker Marina. It was a fun full day of action that encompassed 73 miles and 13.5 hours.
