Red Snapper just opened the day prior to this trip. We started in FH-13, but action there was somewhat slow, probably due to fishing pressure the prior day. We headed out for deeper water hitting some rigs out toward FH-7. We caught a pretty good variety of fish, but no big monsters to brag about. We went as far as Sugar Hill, but the sharks were so bad, even if we got a snapper, the sharks would steal them from us. Not one of those trips to brag heavily on, but a fun day indeed. Seas started a little choppy but slicked down pretty nice at the end of the day. Total trip encompassed over 14 hours and 122 miles.
