The crew consisted of Douglas Barton of Ocean Springs, MS, Bob Lumsden of Greensbourgh, GA, and Mauro Serrano of Granbury, TX. Paul Miller was the Deck Hand. We caught plenty of live Hard Tail for bait, but the big snapper, grouper, and kings were slow to take them. The few good hookups we had were lost to the structure below. We hopped several shrimp boats and had plenty of pulling action from Bonito, Jack Crevalle, and Kings, but the Cobia managed to elude us. While our take home was very weak at best, it surely did not represent all the fishing action we encountered and everyone had a great day out on the water. Total trip encompassed 84 miles and 13.5 hours.
