Blake Hedrick and Bobby Easom of Newton, Mississippi made this a primarily Scuba Diving trip. John Knight of Gautier also went for some tag along fishing. Blake made his Open Water Checkout Dive under Bobby's instruction. We wanted to start at MP178 but was diverted to MP181 by Rig Workers. Visibilty was good and acceptable, but not necessarily ideal. There were not many game fish on MP181, but several tropicals were there to entertain. The next dive was at the Jumbo Barge in FH-7. Visibilty was good and Bobby bagged 2 Amberjack and a Triggerfish. The next dive was at Murphy Rig VK203. Bobby bagged a nice snapper there. The last dive was at the Kay Eckstein Tug in FH-13. Bobby bagged a Gag Grouper and sighted a nice Sow Snapper that eluded him. John caught his limit of snapper before we headed in. I took some pictures at the 2 rigs as shown below. I didn't get the usual pictures of our catch at the dock because I was distracted by my neighbor's house burning down as we hit the dock. Total trip encompassed 137.8 miles and 13.5 hours.
